We hate, but want love.

We lie, but want trust.

We hide, but want forthrightness.

We hold grudge, but want forgiveness.

We fight, but want peace.

We kill, but want safety.

We strike out, but want sympathy.

We misuse, but want harmony.

We bind, but want freedom.

We judge, but want understanding.

We reject, but want acceptance.

We condemn, but want appreciation.

We sin, but ridicule sinners.

We want, but take for granted what’s given.

Strike these demons inside our heads,

not someone outside our own selves.
